Job summary

Edina, a leading international power generation specialist, is seeking an Operations Engineer to join our Leatherhead team. You will carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on gas/diesel engines and energy installations, diagnosing faults and optimizing operations to improve energy efficiency and reduce emissions.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00–16:30, with weekend and on-call duties. Applicants should have ONC/NVQ2 or City & Guilds Level 2 in mechanical/electrical engineering, three

• To hold a minimum of an ONC, NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds Level 2 in mechanical and/or electrical engineering, motor vehicle studies or equivalent.
• Three years' industrial mechanical and/or electrical experience preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of gas/diesel engines.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on installations across Leatherhead and surrounding area.
• Diagnose faults and implement reactive maintenance on client installations.
• Optimize operational processes to increase productivity and reduce time and materials usage.

The Role

As an Operations Engineer, you will carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance work on installations across Leatherhead and the surrounding area.

Ensuring that customer satisfaction is achieved, you will efficiently diagnose and implement all reactive maintenance work on our clients' installations, as well as other users' installations.

You will also oversee and work to optimise the operational processes of users' systems to increase productivity and reduce their use of excess time and materials.

About You

To be considered as an Operations Engineer, you will need:

• To hold a minimum of an ONC, NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds Level 2 qualification in mechanical and/or electrical engineering, motor vehicle studies or equivalent
• To be a competent time-served technician, preferably with a minimum of three years' industrial mechanical and/or electrical experience
• To possess in-depth knowledge of gas/diesel engines
• To demonstrate excellent communication skills
• To have effective IT skills and competency in the use of Microsoft Office packages
• To hold a full, valid driving licence

Hours of Work: Monday - Friday, 8.00am - 4.30pm.

This role will involve weekend work and possible out-of-hours work. You will be required to participate in an established 24-hour callout programme based on a rota system.
