Butler Rose Ltd is supporting a well-established manufacturing business in South Devon to recruit an Operations Director. The role oversees operations, production and supply chain, delivering safe, on-time products while driving continuous improvement.

We are seeking an experienced leader who can implement structure, enhance performance and lead change across a growing manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading manufacturing operations at a senior level.
• Track record of improving operational performance and delivery.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing, planning, procurement and supply chain activities.
• Experience introducing or improving business systems and operational processes.
• Ability to lead, motivate and develop teams through change.
• Commercial awareness and a strong focus on operational efficiency.
• Hands-on leadership style with excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational functions of the business to deliver safe, efficient, on-time products and drive performance improvements.
• Inherit and strengthen processes, improve operational visibility and empower teams to be accountable.
• Lead transformation initiatives and implement structure rather than maintain the status quo.
• Drive robust planning, production, and supply chain processes across the operation.
• Collaborate with commercial and engineering teams to improve business performance.
