JCO Healthcare is proud to be supporting a well‑established care home provider with the appointment of a senior Operations Director to oversee a portfolio of homes across the Home Counties.

This is a significant leadership appointment for an experienced operator who understands what excellent care, strong commercial performance and effective leadership look like across a multi‑site care home portfolio.

We're looking for someone who can operate at a strategic level while remaining close enough to the homes to understand where support, challenge and intervention are required.

The opportunity

You will take senior operational responsibility across a geographical portfolio, working closely with senior leadership and operational teams.

The remit will include:

• Leadership and oversight of a multi‑site care home portfolio
• Driving strong operational, quality and commercial performance
• Supporting and challenging Regional and Home Managers
• Developing high-performing leadership teams
• Maintaining a strong focus on resident experience and quality of care
• Identifying underperformance and implementing sustainable improvement
• Supporting occupancy, workforce stability and financial performance
• Ensuring homes maintain strong regulatory standards
• Contributing to the wider strategic direction and continued development of the organisation

Who are we looking for?

This opportunity is likely to suit an established Operations Director, Regional Operations Director, Head of Operations or highly experienced Regional Manager from within the care home sector.

You’ll need to demonstrate a strong track record of leading multiple care services, developing senior operational teams and delivering results across quality, people and commercial performance.

Just as importantly, we’re looking for someone with presence and credibility. Someone who can build relationships with Home Managers, challenge appropriately and provide clear leadership across a geographically dispersed portfolio.

Experience operating within premium, luxury or high-quality elderly care environments would be particularly attractive.
