Job summary

Fortiva in Bolton is seeking an Operations Coordinator for a hands-on role that blends office duties with shop floor tasks. This on-site position runs 7am-4pm Monday-Thursday and 6.30am-12.30pm Friday, with a starting salary of £28,000-£30,000 plus benefits.

You will work with the Production Manager to maintain schedules, pick/pack orders, manage stock, and process orders in the MRP system, contributing to a collaborative family-run manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Willing to work both at a desk and hands-on in production, stock, and dispatch areas.
• Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience in manufacturing, warehousing, or logistics is desirable.
• Full UK driving licence with own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production schedules with the Production Manager and supervisors.
• Work across production, stock areas and dispatch to resolve issues.
• Pick and pack parts, spares and small orders accurately.
• Process parts and spares orders in the MRP system (picking, packing, dispatch).
• Monitor stock levels and purchase low-value items within authorised limits.
• Support routine health and safety checks and ensure procedures are followed.
