Job summary

Fortiva in Bolton is seeking an Operations Coordinator to join a hands-on role blending office administration with factory floor support. You will work with the Production Manager and supervisors to keep production schedules on track and assist in stock, dispatch, and quality checks.

The position is on-site with a 7am-4pm Mon-Thu and 6:30am-12:30pm Fri shift, offering £28,000–£30,000 plus benefits and a six-month probation period. A UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Willing to work both at a desk and hands-on within production, stock, and dispatch.
• Strong organisation and attention to detail with the ability to manage several priorities.
• Confidence using Outlook, Word and Excel; able to learn MRP/ERP systems.
• Clear communication across different departments.
• Experience within manufacturing, production, warehousing or logistics is desirable.
• Full UK driving licence with own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production schedules with the Production Manager and department supervisors.
• Spend time within production departments, stock areas and dispatch, resolving practical issues.
• Pick and pack parts, spares and other smaller orders accurately and securely.
• Process parts and spares orders within the MRP system, including picking, packing and dispatch.
• Monitor stock levels and purchase low-value items within authorised limits.
• Support routine health and safety checks and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
