Job summary

The Operations Controller at Mane Contract Services will work closely with the Operations Manager, field engineers, and Gatwick-based technicians to handle daily communications and ensure queries are resolved promptly. You will proactively issue jobs to field staff in line with customer demands.

Based at Gatwick Airport, this full-time, office-based role runs Monday to Friday, 8am–4pm. You will contribute to data accuracy, quotations, and vendor coordination while delivering friendly,

Qualifications

• Customer service background is essential.
• Must be a professional customer interface and the first point of contact.
• Able to multitask and coordinate requirements using internal and external resources.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and related software.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring timely completion of breakdown requests.
• Ensuring customers are updated at all times.
• Ensuring engineers' time is used effectively.
• Maintaining accurate customer data with administration colleagues.
• Preparing customer quotations and obtaining purchase orders prior to commencing work.
• Sourcing of parts or technical requirements where required.
• Providing friendly and courteous customer service.
• Initiating and maintaining ongoing open communications with Vendors, Contact Centres.
• Working closely with internal departments to verify, escape or correct information where necessary.
• Liaising with engineers to ensure smooth operation.
• Managing open job logs.

Job description

The Operations Controller will be working closely with the Operations Manager, Field and Gatwick based service Technicians and their customers on daily basis. The Operations Controller will deal with incoming communications in the office and will ensure calls queries are dealt with promptly. Proactively issuing jobs to field engineers in line with customers' demands.

Base location: Gatwick Airport.
