Job summary

Talentedge is partnering with an established housing association in Bath seeking an Operational Transformation Project Manager to lead multi-disciplinary projects that improve service and efficiency. The role is hybrid, 2-3 days in the office, with a strong focus on governance, reporting and stakeholder engagement.

You will plan, monitor budgets and resources, coordinate internal teams and external suppliers, and ensure timely delivery while capturing lessons learned for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Hands-on project management experience leading multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience monitoring budgets and coordinating resources.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and governance reporting.
• PRINCE2/AgilePM desirable but not essential.
• Proficient in MS Office and project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from initiation through implementation, evaluation and closure.
• Develop project plans, budgets and resource requirements.
• Coordinate project teams and external suppliers to maintain progress.
• Manage risks and changes with escalation as needed.
• Monitor performance against timescales, outcomes and quality.
• Build relationships with colleagues, contractors and stakeholders.
• Facilitate meetings and record actions.
• Prepare reports for senior stakeholders and governance groups.
• Support procurement, contract management and budget monitoring.
• Capture lessons learned for continuous improvement.

As this is a hands-on, multi-disciplinary role, you will be working across teams alongside other areas of the businesses to ensure that projects are delivered on time and to a high standard.

The Role

• Lead projects from the beginning and plan through to implementation, evaluation and the end.
• Develop clear project plans, budgets and resource requirements.
• Coordinate the project teams, groups working and external suppliers to maintain progress.
• Manage project risks dependencies and changes, to escalation where appropriate.
• Monitor project performance against the agreed timescales outcomes and quality standards.
• Build strong relationships with colleagues, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Facilitate meetings, workshops and ensure actions are recorded and followed through.
• Prepare accurate project reports, updates and recommendations for senior stakeholders and governance groups.
• Support procurement, contract management and budget monitoring activities where required.
• Capture lessons learned to ensure continuous improvement across our project delivery approach.

About You

• Confident working with colleagues, customers and seniors
• Comfortable building effective relationships and bring people together around shared approaches
• Comfortable monitoring budgets, managing resources and working with external providers
• Able to identify challenges, assess options and make practical recommendations
• Confident using Microsoft office and project management
• Understands the importance of accessible and fair project delivery

A project management qualification such as PRINCE2, AgilePM or an equivalent qualification would be desirable, but relevant experience and a track record of successful projects is more important!
