Job summary

Severn Trent in the UK is hiring an Operational Technician to join the Waste Water Recycling team. You will play a hands-on role keeping sewage treatment works and pumping stations running smoothly in the Stoke Bardolph area, with a company van and safety gear provided.

You will perform daily operational tasks, take samples, analyse data, and contribute to energy efficiency and site performance. Training to Level 2 - Waste Water Process Operator and ongoing development are provided through our

Qualifications

• Experience in Wastewater Treatment, Sludge Treatment or Sewage Pumping Stations.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and proactive mindset.
• Positive outlook and ability to work under own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine operational and maintenance activities at wastewater treatment works and pumping stations.
• Take process samples, analyse results and record performance data.
• Support first-line asset maintenance and energy efficiency improvements.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies; participate in standby rota.
• Collaborate on major capital projects and commissioning support.
• Be based in Stoke Bardolph area and use provided van, safety clothing and tools.
