Job summary

Handelsbanken is seeking an Operational Risk Manager to join the UK team, focusing on third party risk across the bank’s operations. You will develop and maintain the bank-wide Third-Party Risk Framework within the NFRF, provide independent challenge to risk assessments, and lead assurance activities across high-risk outsourcing arrangements.

You will collaborate with 1LoD and Group stakeholders to monitor risk exposure, promote best practice, and ensure regulatory compliance with PRA/FS

Qualifications

• Demonstrate a sound understanding of UK and international regulations relating to third party risk management.
• Experience in third party risk management, controls and oversight in financial services.
• Experience in control testing or broader control assurance (2LOD/3LOD).
• Strong communication skills, able to translate risk to non-risk professionals.
• Team player, able to build relationships with internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide rigorous 2LoD challenge to 1LoD risk assessments and supplier onboarding proposals.
• Perform independent second-line assurance reviews, deep dives and targeted risk controls testing on high-risk outsourcing.
• Maintain alignment with PRA and FCA Operational Resilience rules and monitor third-party impacts.
• Build relationships with key business stakeholders as a trusted advisor/partner.
• Offer training and guidance on third party risk management across the Bank.
