Operational Risk Manager

We are recruiting for an Operational Risk Manager to join our team on a permanent basis, based in Dublin, London, or Nottingham.

Reporting to the Head of Risk & Resilience, this role will oversee the business's compliance within its Operational Risk and Quality Assurance Frameworks. You will report on business adherence, ensure appropriate frameworks and KPIs are in place, and monitor and escalate risks related to breaches of process identified through Quality Assurance Reports.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide oversight of operational risk in the first line to ensure risks are identified and mitigated within risk appetite.
2. Develop and maintain effective operational risk management policies and procedures.
3. Support the development and implementation of the Quality Assurance Framework and related processes across ASL & AIU, adopting a risk-based approach.
4. Produce high-quality reports for the Executive Management Team, Risk Committee, and Board of Directors.
5. Lead RCSAs renewal and manage ongoing risk changes.

Qualifications and Skills

Successful candidates will have an advanced understanding of operational risk within Insurance or wider financial services. Experience with QA/QC and outsourcing, as well as a background in governance and/or Learning & Development, will be advantageous. The ideal candidate is proactive, results-oriented, and experienced in leading teams. Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, along with a passion for introducing innovative and effective ways of working.
