Job summary

European Bank in London invites applications for a newly created multitask role split 50% Local Operational Risk Manager and 50% support to the Transaction Management team across Credit & Loans administration.

You will manage operational risk in the 1st LoD, liaising with Head Office and reporting to Senior Management, while supporting loan documentation, facilities, and portfolio monitoring. Initially office-based five days a week in London for six months before transitioning to hybrid.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years in operational risk management in banking.
• Experience in Loan Operations or Loans processing.
• Proven control/risk reporting experience.
• Strong IT skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Team player with flexible approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage operational risk within the 1st Line of Defense.
• Review procedures, products and systems changes for risk alignment.
• Investigate and track operational loss events.
• Liaise with Head Office and report to Senior Management on Operational Risk.
• Coordinate credit administration activities and data maintenance.
• Monitor and report on risk indicators and covenant compliance.
• Prepare regulatory, management and operational reporting.
• Maintain and enhance operational controls for MiFID requirements.
