Job summary

Mobilize Financial Services in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced risk professional to provide second-line oversight of operational risk across the business. You will guide risk owners and colleagues in identifying and controlling risk, helping embed a robust risk culture, and maintaining clear records and reports.

Key duties include maintaining the risk management system, administering policy libraries, producing committees materials, and supporting escalation and improvement of controls

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Enterprise Risk Management System (eFront) and support self-management.
• Administer the procedure library (DOC_PM) and ensure timely validation of documents.
• Maintain incident log to meet regulatory requirements and monitor SLAs.
• Check system access, segregation of duties and delegation of authority; report risks.
• Prepare reports and slides for Committees within required timescales.
• Oversee KPI deliverables and escalate risks; cover first level controls and indicators.
• Liaise with HQ Risk Teams; coordinate input from participants.
• Assist Operational Risk Management with second line assurance and ad-hoc reporting.
• As experience grows, perform 2nd line assessments of 1st line controls; evidence-based.

Job description

Job Purpose

Provide second level oversight to operational risk across the business. Support risk owners and colleagues by guiding them on identifying and controlling risk within their areas, building trust and increasing their knowledge on this subject. Helping to embed and maintain a risk culture across the business. Maintaining records, monitoring and reporting results.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Enterprise Risk Management System (eFront) and support the business to self-manage.
• Administer the procedure library (DOC_PM) and ensure formal and timely validation of documents.
• Maintain incident log: Logging detail to comply with regulatory requirements, accurate reporting, monitoring SLAs, following up resolution with action plans.
• Complete checks on system access, segregation of duty and delegation of authority. Communicate findings and assess risk.
• Prepare reports and slides for Committees within the timescales given as required.
• Actively oversee the prescribed deliverables of Companywide KPI RCS and elevate when at risk of being missed. E.g. first level controls, key risk indicators, actions and incident reporting.
• Communicate with the HQ Risk Teams; responding to requests for information, identify and co-ordinate input from other participants.
• Assist Operational Risk Management with second line assurance work and hoc reporting
• With growing experience and confidence responsibilities will extend to complete 2nd line assessments on the risk management and controls performed by 1st line. Evidence based reporting, making recommendations to strengthen the management and control of operational risk.
