Are you a seasoned professional in risk management and compliance, looking for a role that offers both challenge and reward?

This position as an Operational Risk and Compliance Manager in Leeds could be your next career milestone.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the department business plan in collaboration with the Head of Compliance.
  • Manage the risk review process, including quarterly reviews, risk committee meetings, and board report production.
  • Maintain the Environment, Social & Governance (ESG) framework, ensuring compliance with legal and client requirements.
  • Provide advice on operational risk events and compliance breaches, ensuring adherence to current regulations.
  • Oversee vendor management processes and provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct compliance monitoring reviews and internal audits, producing relevant management information for regulatory and board reporting.
  • Maintain the ISO 9001-certified Quality Management System and other certification standards as required.

Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Proven experience in risk management, including governance and controls.
  • Relevant professional compliance qualification (desirable).
  • Commercial awareness and experience with ISO9001 framework.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a pragmatic approach to risk and regulatory interpretation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise at all levels.
  • Effective leadership and management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to produce high-quality work in a fast-paced environment, taking personal responsibility for actions and decisions.
