About the Role:

The Risk department supports the implementation and oversight of a robust framework that pro-actively ensures the firm’s licenses and regulatory relationships are effectively maintained.

The role of the Operational Risk Analyst will be to assist in the ongoing development of the Risk department, enabling the business and partnering with internal stakeholders to protect the firm’s reputation and ensure systems and controls are in place to promote controlled business growth in line with the firm’s risk appetite.

This hire is a hands-on role to support the Operational Risk Manager in embedding an effective risk management framework, and act as an ambassador for the Risk department as we support the business as it expands globally. The role will be involved in a wide range of activities as part of the enterprise-wide risk management framework, partnering with all business areas throughout multiple jurisdictions to ensure a sound risk management environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Operational Risk Manager in the BAU governance and management of the Operational Risk Management Framework.
• Support the ongoing development and execution of risk reporting, for both external reporting and internal risk management purposes.
• Participate in periodic Risk & Control Self-Assessments with the business through the GRC system.
• Assist in the review of Operational Risk Events to ensure they are well documented, including relevant root cause and trend analysis, and appropriate mitigation.
• Participate in development of the Third-Party Risk Management framework and associated policy directives.
• Coordinate with all departments to collate key risk indicators and establish clear reporting protocols.
• Champion the GRC system across the firm to support its continuous evolution.
• Liaise with external consultants and assist in configuring the GRC tool based on new or additional requirements.
• Support the Business Continuity Management planning.

Who are we looking for?

• Understanding of operational risk management and framework.
• Understanding of key FCA regulations i.e. TPRM, Operational Resilience, PSD2 essential.
• Experience working in a pan-European regulated firm would be advantageous.
