Job description

A new and forward-thinking UK lending firm is hiring an Operational Risk Analyst to join their Operational Risk function. The role is based in London, with a requirement to work in the office 3 days a week. The position can also be based in Sheffield.

Role Overview

The Operational Risk Analyst will:

1. Support the implementation of the Bank's Risk Management Framework, including the development of RCSA, incident investigation, and reporting across the business.
2. Assist in incident management, providing oversight, challenge, and root cause analysis, along with recommendations to improve internal controls.
3. Collaborate with the Risk & Compliance team and business unit Risk Champions to provide data, insights, and analytical support regarding risk and controls.
4. Maintain and develop the Bank's risk management software system and manage relationships with third-party system suppliers.
5. Represent the Risk & Compliance function at relevant meetings as required.
6. Support other analytical, project, and ad hoc duties assigned by the Operational Risk team.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have approximately 18 months to 2 years of experience in Operational Risk or control and assurance roles within financial services or other regulated industries.
