This is a Fixed Term Contract position until the end of 2024.

This role is key to helping Hiscox on our journey to ensure our Operations are resilient and able to recover quickly when something unexpected happens. You will be responsible for implementing the Operational Resilience framework, conducting regular reviews of our Important Business Services, resources supporting them, and performing scenario testing.

This is a collaborative role working across the London Market business and Group functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and oversee the Operational Resilience SharePoint site, ensuring process library currency and artifact updates.
• Facilitate stakeholder reviews of important business services, addressing questions to accurately identify services vital to customers and Hiscox.
• Review and update resource mapping, collaborating with Service Owners, Procurement, Property, and IT.
• Review impact tolerance metrics and define tolerable harm, liaising with Service Owners and department heads in line with regulatory guidance.
• Support and mature scenario testing activities across LM.
• Identify lessons learned and ensure remedial actions are completed.
• Review and update training materials to ensure regulatory compliance and effectiveness.
• Advise colleagues on Operational Resilience matters.
• Produce reports on Operational Resilience.

Our must haves

• Knowledge of FCA Operational Resilience regulations.
• 3+ years’ experience in Risk and Control, with hands-on BCP and DR experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of general insurance products.
• Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively.
• Strong planning, prioritization, data analysis, and problem-solving skills.
• Risk identification and response capabilities.

Hybrid Working

Expect to work approximately 2-3 days in the office per week, combining office and home working.
