Job summary

Ocado is seeking an Operational Resilience Analyst to join the Operational Services team in the UK. The role focuses on evolving and strengthening the resilience framework, providing BC expertise to UK and international operations, and leveraging AI tools to improve incident response.

You will design exercises, maintain recovery documentation, and collaborate with global operations to ensure robust continuity and resilience across the Ocado platform.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in Business Continuity Management and operational resilience within an enterprise environment.
• Proven track record building, maintaining or exercising BC & Crisis Management programmes.
• In-depth knowledge of BCI standards, tools, techniques and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in steering and strengthening the operational resilience framework that underpins our business-critical international operations.

About the Role

We are looking for an Operational Resilience Analyst to join our Operational Services team.

In this role, you will directly support our global Operations teams and drive the continuous improvement of our resilience programme. You will work alongside the Operational Resilience Director, providing Business Continuity (BC) subject matter expertise, consultation and practical guidance to our UK and international operational teams.

You will help formulate and advance our resilience framework - utilising AI tools where appropriate - to ensure we maintain an effective, state-of-the-art response to major incidents and potential operational disruptions.This role is UK-based with travel to our UK Fulfillment Centres (CFCs), as well as occasional international travel to support our global operational locations.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design for Future:
• Advise on the latest Business Continuity developments, shaping strategic direction in consultation with key stakeholders.
• Design and deliver engaging, high-impact exercise schedules, ensuring all lessons learned are tracked through to resolution.
• Partner with operational teams to expand and maintain comprehensive recovery documentation in line with industry best practice.
• Lead AI-driven Business Impact Analysis (BIA) sessions with stakeholders to capture system availability requirements and agree on recovery capabilities.
• Document Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) and Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) for internal infrastructure.
• Support the identification of environmental and organisational risks, implementing robust mitigation strategies and escalating issues when necessary.
• Coordinate response efforts for client queries regarding business continuity and resilience.
• Help establish clear, agreed ways of working aligned with BCI (Business Continuity Institute) principles, supported by relevant operational metrics.
• Balance technical excellence with delivery speed to make well-informed, risk-based judgements under pressure.
• Execute with Quality:
• Ensure all components of the BC service meet high standards of technical excellence within project constraints.
• Maintain structured cadences to keep stakeholders informed of resilience programme delivery and roadmaps.
• Build and maintain sustainable, operationally focused processes for ongoing business continuity management.

You are a driven, organised and confident professional who thrives when managing multiple priorities - whether working independently or as part of a team. You remain calm under pressure, possess meticulous attention to detail and excel at translating complex operational data into actionable resilience strategies.

You'll have:

• Solid experience and a confident understanding of Business Continuity Management and operational resilience within an enterprise environment.
• Proven track record of building, maintaining, or exercising parts of a BC & Crisis Management programme.
• In-depth knowledge of Business Continuity Institute (BCI) standards, tools, techniques and relevant regulatory guidelines.
• Experience delivering high-quality analysis, trend reporting and operational technical documentation.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence colleagues across all levels of the organisation.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a practical approach to identifying risks and creative solutions.
