Prince Personnel is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to influence strategy while remaining close to day-to-day operations in a manufacturing setting. You will lead the procurement function, secure materials for production, manage supplier relationships, and mentor a small team under the MD’s guidance.

The role requires a track record in cost reductions, stakeholder management, and ERP/MRP knowledge, with CIPS qualification being advantageous.

Formación

• Previous Procurement Manager, Purchasing Manager or Senior Buyer experience within a manufacturing environment
• Strong supplier negotiation and commercial management skills
• Experience leading and developing purchasing teams
• Good understanding of ERP/MRP systems and inventory management
• Proven track record of delivering cost reductions and supplier improvements
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• CIPS qualification, or working towards it, would be beneficial

Responsabilidades

• Develop procurement strategies and category plans to support business growth and production requirements
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiations and commercial agreements to achieve best value
• Ensure material availability whilst balancing stock levels and inventory costs
• Identify and deliver cost-saving and value improvement opportunities
• Monitor supplier performance and manage risk to maintain continuity of supply
• Work closely with production, sales, warehousing and finance teams to support operational objectives
• Lead, coach and develop the purchasing team
• Produce procurement KPI reports and drive continuous improvement initiatives

Are you an experienced Procurement Manager looking for the opportunity to influence strategy whilst remaining close to the day-to-day operation? This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established manufacturer with a strong reputation for quality and innovation. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will lead the procurement function, ensuring the business has the right materials, components and products in place to support production, customer demand and future growth, whilst developing and mentoring a small purchasing team.

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for:

• Ensuring material availability whilst balancing stock levels and inventory costs
