Job summary

Michael Page is seeking an Operational Finance Business Partner in London to lead financial planning and performance insight for operational teams within the Transport & Distribution sector. You will translate financial information into actionable insights to guide day-to-day decisions and long-term planning.

Key duties include building budgets, reviewing results, turning plans into financial assumptions, and delivering management information for performance reviews.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA.
• Experience in financial planning, budgeting and forecasting.
• Ability to analyse financial performance and explain findings clearly.
• Experience producing management information and financial models.
• Ability to work closely with operational stakeholders on financial plans.
• Confidence in reviewing assumptions, costs and performance drivers.
• Practical experience of supporting business decisions with financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Build budgets and forecasts that give operational teams a clear view of expected financial performance.
• Review financial results and explain key movements to support timely operational decisions.
• Work with operational colleagues to turn business plans into practical financial assumptions.
• Produce clear management information that helps teams track performance against plan.
• Identify financial trends and provide insight to improve planning and decision-making.
• Challenge assumptions and cost drivers in a constructive way to strengthen financial plans.
• Prepare analysis for operational projects and investment decisions using relevant financial data.
• Maintain accurate financial models and reporting outputs for regular performance reviews.
