Job summary

Absolute Collagen is seeking a Finance Assistant to join our Birmingham/Telford hybrid finance team. You will own transactional processing, ledgers, reconciliations and month-end support, ensuring accurate financial records for a fast-growing consumer business.

The role reports to the Financial Controller and offers a permanent contract with hybrid working in a dynamic, detail-oriented environment. You will contribute to process improvements and stakeholder queries across the finance function.

Qualifications

• Experience in an operational finance or accounts administration role.
• Understanding of double-entry bookkeeping.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient with Excel; familiarity with accounting software (Xero/Sage).

Responsibilities

• Process purchase invoices accurately and in a timely manner, matching to POs and approvals.
• Maintain purchase and sales ledgers; manage bank reconciliations.
• Handle employee expenses and month-end close support.
• Respond to supplier and internal payment queries; manage finance inbox.
• Support payroll checks and VAT/compliance activities as required.
• Provide ad hoc admin support to the Financial Controller and finance team.
