The Operational Excellence Manager is responsible for driving the deployment, governance, and sustainability of a standardised Operational Excellence (OpEx) framework across 11 global sites. The role based out of Gloucestershire, leads the advancement of a structured maturity model built on pillars across functional areas, enabling consistent performance improvement and capability development.

Description
- Lead the global roll out and ongoing development of the Operational Excellence (OpEx) framework, developing maturity and consistency across the network, defining standards and governance to sustain improvements
- Work closely with site teams and pillar owners to align priorities, capability, and delivery plans
- Drive adoption of OpExstandards, governance, KPI's and consistent ways of working across all sites
- Lead and prioritise the CI portfolio to deliver measurable business and cost improvements
- Lead the standardised CI tracking methodology with clear validation and reporting
- Ensure strong project foundations, including clear scope, ownership, and sustainable results
- Build Lean and Continuous Improvement capability through training, coaching, and standard tools including VSM, Kaizen, SDT, Standard work etc.
- Partner with site leadership to develop and deliver aligned OpExand CI roadmaps
- Embed ownership and accountability within the sites, empowering the sites to lead their improvement journey while aligning to global standards.
- Establish a best practise sharing network to facilitate group wide learnings and improvements
- Manage change across the network to ensure smooth implementation and lasting impact
- Establish clear performance tracking, including KPIs, benefits realisation, and progress monitoring. Lead Maturity assessments and audits.
- Influence and engage stakeholders at all levels to drive ownership, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement
- Act as a change agent, embedding a culture of continuous improvement, cost ownership, and accountability
Profile
You will be an experienced OPEX / CI Leader from a Manufacturing background, along with:
- A recognised Engineering qualification (Degree etc.)
- Lean Six Sigma certification (Green/Black Belt preferred)
- Strong track record of delivering Lean/CI programmes & measurable business improvements (Cost / Productivity / Quality)
- Advanced expertise in Lean manufacturing tools & methodologies
- Excellent stakeholder engagement & influencing skills
- Coaching & capability-building mindset
Job Offer
- Up to £75,000/annum
- Car allowance of £9350.
- Bonus of up to 10%.
