Join Our Team as an Operational Coordinator at Colchester Hospital

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the ENT & Oral Surgery Team at Colchester Hospital as an Operational Coordinator. This role involves the coordination of the service to ensure safe and efficient operation.

This position is crucial in maintaining 24/7 service coverage by working closely with various specialties and clinical and administrative teams. It offers a chance to contribute significantly to the ongoing development of service delivery, with a focus on care and compassion.

In this role, you will develop your operational and management skills within a supportive and innovative environment.

Please note: This is a fixed-term/secondment position until 31st December 2025. Internal candidates will be offered a secondment only.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Managing daily operational activities, including coordination of divisional rotas and medical resources.
  2. Line managing administrative colleagues and addressing issues with the Service Manager.
  3. Ensuring smooth daily operations by liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
Candidate Requirements
  • Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, determination, and proficiency in MS Office and Excel.
  • Transferable skills will be considered if relevant experience is not available.
