Insurance Risk Professional (Remote)

Are you seeking greater flexibility to work from home? Or perhaps you're aiming for your first Manager-grade role where you can learn from a highly talented CRO?

This established, niche insurer offers such opportunities.

This is a fully remote role, allowing you to work from home every day.

In this position within the 2nd line of defense, you’ll partner with 1st line operations across Claims, Underwriting, and Distribution to support effective risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring activities.

You will oversee and challenge 1st line risk management processes, controls, and decision-making, focusing on operational and conduct risks. You’ll support the enhancement of the company’s risk management framework, lead RCSAs, develop risk assessments, and monitor risk appetite with 1st line stakeholders.

You will assist in preparing and delivering risk and compliance reports to senior management, Board committees, and regulatory bodies as needed.

There is significant scope to shape this role and you’ll be encouraged to challenge the status quo, fostering a strong risk culture within the business.

We seek an experienced Risk professional from the Financial Services sector, ideally with broad risk experience across multiple disciplines including Operational and Conduct Risk. Previous insurance experience is advantageous but not essential.

You should have experience developing risk assessments and executing RCSAs, possess an analytical mindset, curiosity, and a willingness to learn and develop. Excellent communication skills are essential.
