Job summary

Belcan is recruiting an experienced Operational Buyer for a 12‑month contract based in Warwick. You will lead purchasing activities, manage supplier relationships and expedite orders while leveraging SAP, Excel and Power BI to drive data‑driven decisions and improve performance in a fast paced environment.

This role seeks a proactive problem‑solver who can handle large datasets, maintain data integrity across systems and contribute to continuous improvement in procurement processes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Operational Buyer within manufacturing, engineering or industrial environments.
• Strong SAP experience with advanced Excel and Power BI skills.
• Ability to analyse large and complex datasets and turn information into actionable insights.
• Experience managing supplier relationships, negotiations and purchasing activities.
• Self-sufficient with the confidence to work independently and drive issues to resolution.
• Experience with castings, forgings or complex engineered products is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchasing activities, supplier relationships, order placement, expediting and procurement administration.
• Analyse supplier and purchasing data using SAP, Excel and Power BI.
• Identify trends, improve performance and support operational delivery.
• Work with minimal supervision and drive issues to resolution.
• Balance multiple priorities in a high‑pressure environment.
