Cardiff Metropolitan University invites applications for an Operational Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of sports facilities and events. You will help with equipment setup, venue preparation, and customer service, including lifeguarding where required.

Flexibility to cover evenings and weekends is important in this sporting environment. The role emphasises collaboration, reliability, and delivering excellent service.

Operational Assistant

Join the Met Sport team and play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operation of sports facilities and events. This position involves equipment setup, customer support, lifeguarding (NPLQ), venue preparation, and general day to day operations.

We're looking for someone who is proactive, dependable, and passionate about delivering excellent service in a sporting environment.

Flexible working hours to suit operational needs including commitment to work evenings and weekends.

What you'll bring

You’ll be able to work collaboratively as part of a team, and display effective communication and time management skills. An ability to use Microsoft Office platforms will help to ensure effective utilisation of our facilities. Additionally, you’ll bring previous work experience of working within a sports environment.
