Job summary

Ampstek is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join the Private Cloud SRE team managing a large-scale OpenShift/Kubernetes platform on-premises. You will work with platform, infrastructure, security, and application teams to automate, improve resiliency, and support cloud-native adoption.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years in Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps, Systems Engineering, or Infra Ops.
• Hands‑on experience operating OpenShift or enterprise Kubernetes in production.
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture, networking, storage, and cluster lifecycle.
• Experience with GitOps using Flux for Kubernetes configuration and deployment management.
• Experience with observability and monitoring platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki).
• Knowledge of Vault and secret management patterns in Kubernetes.
• Strong networking and security fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Own the reliability, availability, performance, and health of the Kubernetes/OpenShift platform.
• Participate in incident response, on‑call rotations, troubleshooting, RCAs, and post‑incident improvements.
• Collaborate with engineering to test, certify, and deploy platform enhancements and upgrades.
• Drive automation to reduce toil and improve scalability and resilience.
• Develop and maintain tooling, dashboards, runbooks, and docs.
• Manage platform lifecycle activities including upgrades and capacity planning.
• Lead vulnerability management across Kubernetes, OS, and components.
• Enhance observability through monitoring, logging, alerts, and best practices.
• Collaborate with global SRE, infra, security, and L2 teams for unified support.
• Contribute to strategic platform initiatives for reliability and self-service.
