Job summary

Lloyds Banking Group is seeking an OpenShift Senior Engineer to lead the OpenShift and Private Cloud platform, aligning engineering, security and operations across squads. You will shape platform strategy, drive architectural decisions and enable scalable, secure cloud-native workloads across hybrid environments.

You will coach senior engineers, govern platform designs, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure resilience, regulatory compliance and optimal customer outcomes across our services.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing, building and operating OpenShift/Kubernetes platforms at scale.
• Deep knowledge of platform internals, networking, storage, security controls and integration patterns.
• Proven track record of setting architectural direction across multiple teams.
• Experience with private/hybrid cloud, security, audit, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction and guardrails for OpenShift and hybrid cloud services.
• Lead complex multi-squad initiatives with strong architectural decisions.
• Coach engineers in system design and architectural thinking.
• Represent platform in governance, design reviews, and vendor engagements.
• Drive reliability, cost efficiency, and platform health.
