Job summary

Gravitas Group is seeking a Linux Platform Engineer to design, build and operate Linux platform services focused on OpenShift and Kubernetes in London. You will contribute to automation, observability, and production readiness within an agile environment.

This contract-style role is hybrid, requiring two onsite days per week in London. The successful candidate will have strong Linux and container experience and a passion for modern infrastructure practices.

Qualifications

• Proven Linux systems or platform engineering experience.
• Experience with OpenShift and Kubernetes in production.
• Ability to develop automation scripts using Bash, Python, PowerShell, or Ansible.
• Experience with Git-based workflows, CI/CD, and modern devops practices.
• Interest in AI-assisted tooling and automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate Linux platform services
• Support self-service infrastructure and internal platform products
• Enhance observability, resilience, and operational readiness of platform services
• Contribute to infrastructure-as-code, scripting, and automation efforts
• Collaborate with software teams to optimise workload deployment and efficiency
• Work autonomously within an agile environment and deliver within sprint cycles
