Job summary

Retirement Villages Group is opening Yarrow, our new restaurant at Paramount Place in Tunbridge Wells, and is seeking a hands-on Sous Chef to join the opening team. You will lead the kitchen, mentor the team and deliver fresh, seasonal dishes for residents and guests.

Working with the Head Chef, you will help develop menus, ensure HACCP standards and create memorable dining experiences in a luxury retirement village setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fresh food, high quality hospitality environment.
• Experience leading a kitchen team and delivering consistent results.
• Knowledge of HACCP, food safety and allergen management.
• Ability to develop and adapt seasonal menus.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef in day-to-day kitchen operations.
• Prepare and deliver high quality, freshly cooked seasonal dishes.
• Lead, motivate and develop the kitchen team.
• Assist with menu development and new ideas.
• Monitor stock, place orders and minimise waste.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and safety (HACCP).
• Collaborate with front of house to ensure exceptional dining for residents and guests.
