Job summary

The University of St Andrews invites applications for an Open Research Officer to join the Open Research Team within Libraries and Museums. The role supports the day-to-day running of the Research Data Management service and helps ensure funders' requirements for open data are met.

You will assist researchers in depositing data, promote open research practices, and work with colleagues to advance open data across the research life cycle. Hybrid working and a range of staff benefits are on offer.

Qualifications

• Understanding of research data management practices in higher education (DMR, repositories, data sharing)
• Experience delivering training materials to varied audiences
• Ability to promote best practices in open data across research lifecycle

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day running of the Research Data Management service
• Assist service manager to meet funders' open data requirements
• Promote open data practices and data access statements across the research community
• Assist researchers with depositing research data to the information system
