Job summary

Network Plus in Northwest England is seeking an experienced Utility Arboriculture Field Manager to oversee the SPENW vegetation management contract. You will ensure safe, on-time delivery of work, with budget discipline and adherence to client expectations on site.

Responsibilities include leading on-site pre‑vetting, planning, and compliance, managing a team, and acting as a brand ambassador for the company while delivering regular briefings and fostering two-way feedback.

Qualifications

• Experience in Utilities, including UA1, 2.1, UA5 LANTRA, and as a Professional Tree Inspector.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Strong management skills.
• Financial and commercial awareness.
• Computer skills – emails, Word, Excel, etc.
• Clean driving licence.
• DNO experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all contract work complies with health, safety, welfare and environmental regulations.
• Maximize profitability while meeting contractual requirements.
• Head compliance with client authorisation, specifications, and company standards.
• Maintain documentation control with back-office support.
• Lead on-site for pre-vetting, consenting and planning within outage windows.
• Assess health and safety competence of subcontractors and direct labour.
• Manage and motivate a team, delegating as needed while leading by example.
• Act as a forward-facing representative and brand ambassador for Network Plus.
• Deliver monthly team briefings and collect feedback.
