Job summary

Network Plus in the Northwest England region is seeking a Utilities Arboriculture Field Manager to oversee the contract’s operational performance, delivering work safely, on time and within budget to meet client expectations. You will lead on-site activities and act as a brand ambassador for the company.

You will ensure compliance with health, safety, welfare and environmental regulations, maintain documentation, and plan outages with the right resources.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in Utilities, including Utility Arb units UA1, 2.1, UA5 LANTRA, and as a Professional Tree Inspector.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Strong management skills.
  • Financial and commercial awareness.
  • Computer skills – emails, Word, Excel, etc.
  • Clean driving licence.
  • DNO experience.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all work within the contract under your control is carried out in full compliance with health, safety, welfare and environmental regulations, while working to maximize profitability and satisfying contractual requirements.
  • Head compliance with the client’s authorisation requirements and specifications, and with the company’s service and quality standards.
  • Maintain documentation control while working closely with the back‑office support team.
  • Lead on site for pre‑vetting, consenting and planning to ensure works are completed within outage windows with the correct resources.
  • Assess the health and safety competence of sub‑contract organisations and direct labour prior to commencing work.
  • Manage and motivate a team, delegating where appropriate but leading by example.
  • Be a forward‑facing professional and brand ambassador for the Company.
  • Deliver team briefings monthly and ensure two‑way feedback.

Job description

Position located in Northwest England as part of the SPENW vegetation management contract. As a Utility Arboriculture Field Manager, you will be responsible for the operational performance of the contract; delivering the work safely, on time, in budget and to our client's expectations.
