Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in transport/logistics operations and supervision.
• Proven people management, coaching and performance discussions.
• Strong communication and organisational skills with good IT literacy.
• Experience coordinating a driver workforce and transport documentation.
• Stable employment history and reliability in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily transport operations and driver activities.
• Lead and support a team of Transport Clerks and a large driver workforce.
• Dispatch and debrief drivers, ensuring accurate documentation.
• Monitor delivery performance and respond to delays, route changes, or breakdowns.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Operator Licence and transport regs.
• Conduct driver briefings, performance reviews and coaching sessions.
• Support employee relations activities including attendance and performance discussions.
• Monitor vehicle compliance and temperature-controlled transport requirements.
• Provide driver training and wellbeing initiatives.
• Handle customer service issues promptly and professionally.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, service levels and costs.
