Job summary

DXC Technology in Hampshire is seeking a Test Automation Engineer (Scrum) to design, develop and run automated tests across APIs, microservices and user interfaces. You will integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and work closely with the team to ensure reliable, high-quality releases.

The role requires strong scripting skills (Python/Java/TypeScript) and experience with Selenium, Playwright and RestAssured, in an Agile Scrum environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in software verification and test automation.
• Ability to script automated tests and integrate into CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of Selenium, Playwright and API testing tools.
• ISTQB/BCS/ITIL certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and execute automated test scripts for APIs, microservices and UIs.
• Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines for regression testing with every build.
• Investigate defects, log reproduction steps and verify fixes with developers.
• Collaborate in sprint planning and backlog refinement to define acceptance criteria.
• Leverage performance and security testing tools when appropriate.
• Contribute to a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
