Job summary

DXC Technology in Hampshire is seeking a seasoned Quality & Test Automation Lead to drive automated testing strategy across complex systems. You will mentor test automation engineers, shape SAFe-friendly QA practices, and ensure robust CI/CD integration while balancing aggressive delivery timelines.

The role requires leadership, expertise in Selenium/Playwright/Cypress, Python/Java/JavaScript, and a solid background in secure development and governance for public sector projects in the UK.

Qualifications

• Advanced expertise in test automation frameworks covering functional, non-functional, regression, and security testing.
• Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience integrating test suites with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
• Familiarity with secure development practices and compliance frameworks for UK public sector projects.
• Strong advocacy for shift-left testing and defect prevention.
• Excellent facilitation skills during backlog refinement and planning sessions.
• Ability to balance rigorous quality standards with aggressive delivery timelines.
• Experience leading quality assurance governance across SAFe release trains and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and continuously improve automated testing strategies across complex systems.
• Embed quality assurance into SAFe PI planning, team-level Scrum ceremonies, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor, coach, and upskill test automation engineers and cross-functional team members.
• Establish automated quality gates, metrics, and dashboards to provide visibility of release readiness and defect leakage to senior stakeholders.
