Job summary

RTX is seeking a hands-on Technical Support & Sustainment Engineer to join our Malvern team. You will manage technical support and sustainment for deployed systems across defense and national security environments, with travel within the UK and overseas as needed.

You will work across the full lifecycle of secure, multi-server and multi-client systems, from build through sustainment and upgrade, gaining exposure to a broad technology stack including Windows, Linux, AD, certificates, networking,

Qualifications

• Experience in IT systems, system administration, and technical support.
• Familiarity with setting up, configuring, and maintaining multi-server environments.
• Willingness to travel within the UK and overseas and provide occasional out-of-hours support.
• UK security clearance (SC) at a minimum is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and sustainment for deployed systems and ensure reliability and compliance with company processes and AS9100 accreditation.
• Support programs during the build phase, including hardware assembly, software installation, and system configuration.
• Plan and carry out testing on newly built and upgraded systems (Integration Testing, FAT, SAT).
• Provide office-based technical support to customers by phone and email, with occasional out-of-hours support.
• Travel within the UK and overseas to deliver, commission, upgrade, diagnose and resolve issues on systems.
• Work across a broad technology stack including Microsoft products, Linux, Active Directory, networking, storage and virtualisation.
• Maintain locally held replicas of customer systems for troubleshooting, upgrade testing and issue resolution.
• Demonstrate software and systems to internal and external customers and contribute to continuous improvement.
