Job Description

Our immediate requirement is for an experienced Technical Engineering Manager to be a key part of our London team, representing our client and working onsite at a leading multinational professional services network. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Technical Engineering Manager to join an established operation with scope to drive and enhance the service. Compensation will reflect experience and seniority.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the onsite AV Manager at Canary Wharf daily.
• Support the AV service technically in cooperation with Client DWP / IT Teams and third-party manufacturers.
• Manage AV Software / firmware, including:
• Monthly reviews with manufacturers
• Quarterly updates to stakeholders (including EOL and security patches)
• Manage change control protocols
• Oversee UK rollouts and scope of works
• Coordinate with teams
• Post-work MI reports
• Manage AV Assets & CMBD, including:
• Onboarding/offboarding assets
• Asset tagging and tracking
• Manage software/firmware versions and EOL dates
• Record serial numbers and warranty dates
• Update system schematics
• Maintain data integrity
• Update security passwords following client protocols.
• Monitor estate via remote support platforms.
• Provide Level 3 technical support and assist remote engineers.
• Liaise with VNOC & manufacturers for diagnostics and repairs.
• Participate in meetings to plan EOL and technical roadmaps.
• Travel to UK client sites as needed.
• Review PMV reports and update CMBD accordingly.
• Assist with BAU installations and project handovers.
• Manage onboarding of new sites/projects into the service.
• Handle administrative tasks supporting the Technical Manager role.
• Oversee UK power downs, including resource coordination, permits, and MI reporting.
• Manage UK critical spares inventory.

Experience/Qualifications

• Strong IT networks experience and understanding of network architecture and structured cabling.
• Certifications such as CompTIA or equivalent.
• Experience with QSYS / DSP, ITIL, NEC, Lightware, Microsoft/MTR UC, Utelogy.
