Job summary

Seismic Recruitment is recruiting for a Supplier APQP + PPAP Engineer to join a leading global manufacturer in Peterlee on a 12-month contract. The role is fully onsite, with a 36.5-hour working week and a PAYE rate up to £27.73/hr plus holiday pay and pension (or £37.64 umbrella).

You will lead supplier quality activities and support cross-functional teams across supplier quality, manufacturing, procurement and supply chain projects, driving APQP to PPAP and contributing to supplier development

Qualifications

Strong Supplier Quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience working with suppliers, procurement and supply chain functions.
Knowledge of APQP and PPAP methodologies.
Strong project coordination or project management experience.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of SAP, Teamcenter, or Power BI would be advantageous but is not essential.

Responsibilities

Lead supplier quality activities across multiple projects.
Support NPI, Continuous Product Improvement and New Source Introduction programmes.
Manage project timelines, milestones and key deliverables with cross-functional teams.
Drive APQP activities through to PPAP approval.
Support supplier selection, development and performance improvement.
Identify and mitigate supplier and project risks.
Lead problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
