Job summary

Seismic Recruitment is seeking a Project Quality Engineer for a leading global manufacturer in Peterlee, County Durham. This onsite role is offered on a 12-month initial contract, with a 36.5-hour week and a Monday-Thursday schedule, finishing early on Fridays.

The role focuses on leading supplier quality activities, PPAP approvals, and cross-functional project support. You will collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement and Supply Chain teams, driving supplier

Qualifications

Strong supplier quality experience within a manufacturing environment.
Experience working with suppliers, procurement and supply chain functions.
Knowledge of APQP and PPAP methodologies.
Strong project coordination or project management experience.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Lead supplier quality activities across multiple projects.
Support NPI, Continuous Product Improvement and New Source Introduction programmes.
Manage project timelines, milestones and key deliverables.
Drive APQP activities through to PPAP approval.
Identify and mitigate supplier and project risks.
Lead problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
