Job summary

Matchtech Group is seeking an Assembly & Test Technician for a six-month contract based in Romsey. The role involves assembly, testing, commissioning and fault finding of electronic products, PCB assemblies and complete systems.

You will work onsite five days per week in the defence and security sector, performing tests to ATPs and documenting results. Experience in electromechanical assembly and electronics testing is essential, with soldering and PCB techniques highly valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in electromechanical assembly within electronics/manufacturing.
• Practical electronics testing with automated and manual equipment.
• Soldering and PCB assembly techniques knowledge.
• Understanding of basic electronics principles and test procedures.
• Troubleshooting and repairing non-conforming products.
• RF testing experience is advantageous.
• Good computer literacy and precise record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Carry out RF testing of PCB assemblies and system sub-assemblies.
• Perform electro-mechanical assembly of products to spec.
• Commission and conduct final acceptance testing of complete systems.
• Test and record results per ATPs and test instructions
• Record and collate test data for analysis and improvement
• Fault-find, diagnose and repair non-conforming products
• Contribute to concessions, test reports, and work instructions
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Lead to improve processes
