Job summary

RHI Magnesita is seeking a Quality Manager to own and drive the QMS, oversee laboratory operations, and lead internal and external audits. The role involves supplier management of raw materials, R&D coordination with the Europe-wide team, and responsibility for documents and process improvements.

The candidate will lead ISO9001-compliant practices, report KPIs to senior management, and travel across the European plant network as required.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in refractories, ceramics, advanced materials, or high‑temperature industrial products.
• Experience supplying into highly regulated sectors such as oil & gas, petrochemicals, aerospace.
• Demonstrated success in maintaining ISO 9001 certification.
• Skilled in maintaining certification readiness and leading external audits.
• Knowledge of raw materials, formulation mixing and processing forming.
• Experience with ASTM and API test methods for refractories.
• Familiar with customer qualification processes, technical data sheets, MTCs, and compliance documentation.
• Nice to have: ISO.14001 & ISO.45001, IOSH Certified, Lean Six Sigma

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of the quality management system to ISO9001.
• Laboratory management including employees and workflow, ensuring standards and timely testing.
• Lead daily KPIs to management and report monthly KPIs.
• Ensure processes align with ASTM standards.
