Job summary

NRL Recruitment seeks a Project Quality Control Engineer for a site-based post in Leicester. You will support quality control across complex manufacturing and supply chain projects, liaising with customers to define QA expectations and reviewing supplier documentation.

The ideal candidate holds CSWIP 3.2/3.1 or PCN Level 2 WI, and has experience with QCPs/ITPs for welded and machined components, ISO 9001 familiarity, and NDT knowledge. Strong communication and reporting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with Quality Management Systems, ISO 9001
• Ability to review and endorse QCPs, ITPs and supplier documentation
• Familiar with fabrication, NDT, and mechanical inspection processes

Responsibilities

• Liaise with customers to define QA, control and inspection expectations.
• Review and approve supplier quality documentation (QCPs, weld schedules, NDT procedures).
• Attend supply chain kick-off meetings to clarify quality and documentation standards.
• Produce and assign inspection activities, coordinating with internal and customer teams.
• Carry out inspection assignments including risk assessments and witnessing NDT or tests.
• Review and endorse supplier documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure accurate recording and timely reporting of inspection activities.
• Support Life Time Records and final release documentation.
• Advise project and supplier teams on quality control requirements and risks.
