Job summary

CBRE, Inc. in Ware is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer for a flexible on-site contract. You will support day-to-day maintenance and facilities requirements, coordinate with CBRE for callouts, perform onsite checks, and assist with general facilities duties to keep the site running smoothly.

The role demands strong organisational and communication skills, prior maintenance or facilities management experience, and the ability to work independently with a flexible approach to hours.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in maintenance, facilities administration or building maintenance.
• Experience coordinating or dealing with maintenance issues and contractors.
• Good organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Strong communication skills on phone and email.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace is advantageous.
• Proactive and hardworking with ability to work independently.
• Comfortable with some manual handling/heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with CBRE to arrange maintenance callouts and site visits.
• Conduct onsite checks to identify and assess maintenance issues.
• Coordinate waste collections and general facilities duties.
• Keep stakeholders updated on maintenance issues and progress.
• Work independently to manage day-to-day maintenance priorities.
