Job summary
Mass Consultants Ltd. seeks an ICT Systems Engineer to support and maintain a predominantly Windows and VMware server environment in a highly secure setting.
The role requires wearing multiple hats to ensure a fully functional infrastructure and rapid issue resolution. The engineer will work within a defence-aligned environment, contribute to incident response, and ensure service excellence while maintaining documentation and compliance with ITIL standards.
Qualifications
- Good knowledge and experience deploying, upgrading and updating operating systems, applications and infrastructure.
- Ability to resolve ICT systems issues in response to triaged help desk tickets.
- Proficient patch management and deployment (e.g. WSUS).
- Proficient in virtualization on Windows platforms (VMware ESXi).
- Proficient in following ITIL standards and processes.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, test and maintain Microsoft and VMware OSes, applications and system tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve reported helpdesk issues.
- Ensure high levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
- Contribute to software asset management.
- Maintain change documentation and deploy system changes per procedures.
- Attend meetings approving system changes to platforms.
