Job summary

Hamilton Barnes is seeking an Applications Engineer for a 6-month hybrid contract based in Corsham. You will deliver hands-on deployment, configuration and lifecycle management of enterprise applications across Windows and/or Linux environments.

The role covers integration with AD/LDAP, databases and services, secure-by-design deployment, and development of technical artefacts. ITIL discipline and UK SC eligibility are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience installing, configuring and supporting enterprise applications on Windows or Linux servers.
• Experience integrating apps with Active Directory/LDAP, databases, and web services across dev/test/prod.
• Understanding of application security, hardening and troubleshooting complex issues.
• Ability to produce technical documentation (LLDs, build guides, runbooks) with ITSM familiarity.
• UK Security Clearance (SC) eligibility or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure and support enterprise applications across Windows and/or Linux environments.
• Support integration of applications with enterprise services including identity, databases, and networking.
• Configure and maintain application environments across development, test, and production platforms.
• Implement secure-by-design principles for deployment and configuration.
• Produce and maintain design docs, build guides, and runbooks.
• Support system integration, testing, and validation with Service Management to resolve incidents.
