Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Health and Safety Manager for a busy Thatcham site. This permanent role offers a salary of £60,000 to £65,000 and a 20% product discount.

You will join the site leadership team, developing a proactive safety culture and coaching operational managers to embed lasting improvements on the shop floor. You will be visibly present on the floor, build strong relationships, challenge practices where needed and lead investigations to drive improvements.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Certificate (minimum)
• Solid HSE experience in a fast-paced logistics, warehouse, retail or manufacturing setting
• Confidence to present to and influence senior stakeholders
• Strong communication skills and a practical, down-to-earth style
• A track record of leading investigations, driving improvements and developing others

Responsibilities

• Lead the HSE agenda end to end on site
• Coach operational managers to embed lasting safety improvements
• Develop proactive safety culture and floor-level ownership
• Maintain strong on-floor presence and relationship building
• Engage in group-wide peer reviews when appropriate
