Job summary

HSE Recruitment Network is recruiting for an HSE Manager at a large Thatcham site. You will sit in the site leadership team and own the HSE agenda end-to-end, driving a proactive safety culture and coaching operational managers to embed improvements.

The role is hands-on, not desk-based, with on-floor visibility, relationship-building and the authority to challenge where needed. There’s scope to engage in group-wide peer reviews and broaden site exposure.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Certificate (minimum) required.
• Solid HSE experience in fast-paced logistics, warehouse, retail or manufacturing.
• Confident in presenting to and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills with a practical, down-to-earth style.
• Track record of leading investigations, driving improvements and developing others.

Responsibilities

• Own the HSE agenda end-to-end on site and drive a proactive safety culture.
• Coach operational managers and ensure improvements stick on the ground.
• Engage with shop floor teams, build relationships and enable real ownership of safety.
• Opportunity to contribute to group-wide peer reviews and broader site exposure.
