Job summary

Bilfinger UK is seeking a Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Advisor for a permanent role at Stanlow. The role covers providing HSE support, developing risk assessments, and leading safety initiatives across on-site operations.

You will engage with site personnel, deliver HSE inductions, and mentor teams to ensure rigorous safety performance in line with CDM 2015 and internal standards.

Qualifications

• CDM Regulations familiarity and compliance.
• Experience with management system standards (ISO, OHSAS).
• Industrial services sector experience (2 years).
• Ability to plan improvements and drive changes.
• Coaching and training skills for site teams.
• Member of IOSH (or equivalent health and safety body).

Responsibilities

• Provide HSE support to B-UK sites ensuring HSE plans are communicated and met.
• Assist in preparing contractual HSE documentation.
• Guide CDM roles (Client, Principal Designer, Designer, Principal Contractor).
• Support on-site incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Follow up and close out corrective actions from incidents and audits.
• Promote HSE tools (PASTA, Safe Cards) and mentor staff on use.
• Conduct audits and inspections of work processes.
• Stop unsafe practices and advise on corrective actions.
• Report deficiencies or urgent HSE matters to management.
• Identify improvement opportunities and communicate to HSE teams.
