Job summary

Eaton is seeking an HR Advisor to work onsite in Cheltenham, providing expert advice on employee relations and HR policies. You will be the first point of contact for managers and staff, ensuring timely guidance on absence, disciplinary, grievance, and performance issues.

You will manage the employee lifecycle, maintain records, support GDPR compliance, assist with recruitment and onboarding, and contribute to HR projects across the site in a collaborative, confidential environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an HR Advisor, Senior HR Advisor or equivalent generalist HR role.
• CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent), CIPD Level 7 advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience managing a range of employee relations cases independently.
• Experience in engineering, manufacturing or operational environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for managers and employees on HR queries and people-related matters.
• Provide timely and pragmatic advice on employee relations issues including absence management, disciplinary, grievance, capability and performance matters.
• Support managers in applying HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and legal compliance.
• Support all stages of the employee lifecycle including onboarding, moves and exits, and maintain HR records in GDPR-compliant manner.
• Coordinate recruitment administration and support induction/onboarding of new employees.
