IPL Normanton is seeking a Machine Technician to join the onsite Engineering & Facilities Team. The role involves working a 4 on 4 off schedule from 6:30am to 7:15pm on site at the Normanton Produce site, permanently aligned with IPL, Forza and Kober operations.

The successful candidate will follow SOPs, maintain machinery, perform safety checks, lead autonomous maintenance, and support line changeovers while driving continuous yield improvements and safe practices.

Formación

• FMCG experience in a production/operational environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and practical skills.
• GCSE level Maths and English (A–C).
• Solid IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent communication and ability to liaise across levels.
• Ability to work quickly and methodically within a team.
• Willingness to use own initiative and be results driven.
• IOSH health & safety qualification would be desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Operate to trained SOPs in a clean, safe environment.
• Monitor and maintain machinery to high cleanliness standards.
• Complete daily machine safety checks per SOPs.
• Lead autonomous maintenance of equipment on the line.
• Communicate machine run safety issues to Engineering and Line Leaders.
• Monitor yield to optimise value and efficiency.
• Assist with changeovers with minimal downtime and safety.
